Surf Zone Santa Maria is an independent school attached to the Morabeza beach club. The Morabeza Hotel is a family run hotel and is by far the best hotel on the island, and is ideal for all ages. The beach in front of the school is perfect for water sports as well as lounging, swimming and playing. It is also the nicest beach on the island for swimming and sitting on the beach.
The beach club has a resturtant with the most spectacular view on the island, as well as a bar, bathroom, shower and beach loungers.
The Village of santa maria is a 1min walk away. The village has some great little bars and resturants.
If you are looking to do a water sport, but want to make sure the family is happy while you play in the ocean, then this is the hotel.

RIU HOTEL
Surf Zone Riu is located in the all inclusive 5 star Riu hotel. For those wanting all inclusive then the Riu is the place to go. It is located 20min from Santa Maria and on the west coast. Although there is very little around it, the hotel itself provides for everything.
This is also a perfect location for more intermediate/advanced windsurfers and kitesurfers wanting to come with family. As you can windsurf and kitesurf right in front of the beach area where family and friends can lounge while you are on the water.
