Surf Zone Cabo Verde is Santa Maria top Kite Surfing school. With the latest range of 2006/07 Naish kites and boards, the Zone, is well known for its high quality instruction and rental equipment.

· For those wanting to learn to Kite Surf or improve their kite surfing, the Zone, provides all its instruction with 4 and 5 line
kites.
· For complete beginners its takes an average it takes between 6 to 10hours to learn the sport. The lesson begins with some beach training learning how to fly and control the kite. The amount of beach training varies with the level of the client. Once the client has learnt to control the kite on land, the remaining lessons take place on water in front of the centre. The first stages on the water comprise of you and the kite, performing what is known as the “Body Drag”. Once you have learnt to control the kite, the next stage is getting you on the board. Our goal is to have you going out and coming back in, on the board, before you leave.
· For intermediate and advanced kite surfers the lessons begin in the water with a focus on improvement.
Instruction can be provided in English, French, German, Portuguese, Spanish and Italian
· For more advanced Kite Surfers, the Zone rents the latest kites and boards. Equipment can be taken to other popular
spot such as kite beach and Punta Preta.
· For those wanting to jump to the next level, the Surf Zone has world class Kite Surfers providing private lessons in different spots on the island. They are famous for their style and often ending lessons with an amazing down winder from Kite Beach back the to station.
