KITE SURF RENTALS AND SALES (riu)

Surf Zone offers a range of quality rental equipment for those Kiters who CAN kite surf. Please note for safety reasons, kite material is only rented out to kite surfers that can go out and come back to same place on a board, safely. They must also be able to re-launch their kite in deep water.

The majority of the rental equipment is located in the Santa Maria location. However we are happy to arrange for kite and board of the size you require to be dropped off at the Riu school, if that is where you are staying. Any change in kite sizes or boards can be done at the Santa Maria location. The Santa Maria school is approx 2min drive or 20min walk from the Riu hotel.

Most people prefer to kite surf at one of three locations. From the Riu hotel (wind more off-shore), at Kite beach- which is 10min drive from the hotel (wind more side- on shore), or in the Bay of Santa Maria, 2 min drive from the hotel (wind more side-off at the start of the Bay and slightly more on-shore at the end of the Bay).  

As the School up-dates its material every year, Surf Zone often sells kites and boards at very good prices (both new and used). Below is a list of material we are presently selling. If you would like more information on the items please feel free to email us.
