KITE SURFING RENTALS AND SALES

Surf Zone is the number one kite school on the island, with over 12 years of kiting experience and testing of material.

Surf Zone up-dates its equipment constantly in order to provide our rental clients with the latest in Kites and Boards. In addition to rentals, we also provide some great deals on new and used materials. If you are interested in buying a kite and board drop us an email with what you are looking for and your level. We will email you back with a current price and stock list, as well as what we would recommend.

Surf Zone Kites for sale and rentals are Ozone kites. Every year we buy the latest kites to ensure that our kitesurfers have access to the newest models.

We also update our kite boards annually, to offer clients a range in models and sizes.

RENTAL GUIDELINES

For the SAFETY of the clients and for the people around them we have set some basic guidelines that clients must meet in order to rent. We hope that you understand that our number one priority is the safety of all our clients as well as the people on the beach and in the water, where other kite surfers are surfing. It is for this reason that we ask that you check this list to make sure that you meet these conditions.

Please note that we offer our renters the newest kites and boards for their maximum enjoyment.

1) To rent you have to be able to kite surf in deep water. ALL kite surfing here is in DEEP WATER.

2) Relaunch your kite in deep water and have good kite control

3) Go upwind-go out and come back to the same place in deep water-so you should be at the level where you are not wearing a board leash.

4) Launch and Land your kite safely

5) If for some reason you cannot kite surf safely independently we will ask you to stop the rental, this is for safety reasons (yours, others and the material). You are welcome to use the credit towards kite lessons

6) Rentals are non refundable.

7) There is no insurance on the material, so you are completely responsible for the material. This is because most renters take their material to other locations. Therefore, if you break something you will be charged the cost of repairing it if we can, or replacing it, if the kite is completely destroyed. If you lose or break the board, it will be the cost of replacing the board. Please note we do all our own repairs in our workshop, therefore we are able to repair the kites at an affordable cost.

8) We will need a national ID from you when you arrive. We place this in the safe, and when you return the kite we return the ID. As we have your ID, you are welcome to keep the material with you during your stay, and return it at the end of your rental period.

9) You are more than welcome to change kite and board sizes, based on what is available.

10) If you are able to windsurf, you can change kitesurf days for windsurf days or surf board days. .

Please note that rentals are Board, Kite, and Bar (it does not include harness, swim vest, helmet etc) please bring these with you. If you do not have these we can rent a harness and swim vest to you, based on availability. If you are using a helmet please make sure you have a board leash with you. Please email us if you need to rent any accessories (harness etc.), so we can ensure that we reserve these for you as well. If you have a shortie bring it with you.

For clients renting at this school please note that most of our rental kites are kept in our Santa Maria school. Therefore if you would like to rent a kite, please email before hand to ensure that the material is there when you arrive.

If you choose to rent on site, then please give us some time to arrange to have the material brought over to school. You are also welcome to come to the Santa Maria school to choose your own kite and board.

The area in front of the Riu hotel is for a little more advanced kite surfers, as the wind blows more off-shore here. It is an amazing place to kite surf, but you must be used to kite surfing in more off shore winds.

There is a rescue boat on hand through the hotel. The average cost is 30euros per rescue.
