· Surf Zone, provides all its instruction with 4 and 5 line kites.
· For complete beginners its takes an average of 11hours to learn the sport. The lessons begin with some beach training (learning how to fly and control the kite). The amount of beach training varies with the level of the client. Once the client has learnt to control the kite on land, the remaining lessons take place on water. The first stages on the water comprise of you and the kite, performing what is known as  “Body Drag”. Once you have learnt to control the kite, the next stage is getting you on the board. Our goal is to have you going out and coming back on the board before you leave.

· For intermediate and advanced kite surfers the lessons begin in the water with a focus on taking your kite surfing to the next level.  Lessons will focus on areas that you would like to work on i.e going up wind, jumps, transitions, handle passes, etc.

Booking Guide. For complete Beginners

If you are complete beginner, then the first lesson is the 3 hours introduction to kitesurfing for 90 euros. This is a group lesson (max 3 people). If there is no group avaliable than the lesson will take place over 2 hours for the same price, as it is a private lesson.

After this first lesson, all lessons are 2 hour lessons. Kiters can pay for 2 hours, 4hours, 6, 8 or 10. The more you do the cheaper it gets (see Prices page). Group sizes are normally 2 people per instructor. If there are no groups at the time you are here, then the amount of time you have paid for will be shortened, as it will be private lessons.

Booking Guide for people who have done some kitesurfing

If you have done some kitesurfing before then we recommend our kite move on lessons. You can book 2,4,6,8 or 10hours of lessons. All lessons are 2 hours long.  Average group size is 2 per instructor.

Please if it has been a long time since you have done anything, or have only done a little body dragging in shallow water, than we recommend you start with a 2 hour private lesson and then continue with groups. We recommend this, so you are not placed in a group where you are repeating things you already know.

If you are already body dragging in deep water and know how to relauch the kite, board starting or on a board groups are a good option.

Lesson, Transfers and Payment

All our lessons begin at 9.30 and 1.20. Lesson will take place either in the Bay of Santa Maria, in front of the Riu hotel,  or at Kite beach, depending where the condition are the best. Please note that the price of lessons include all the equipment and transfers to the lesson location. Due to space constraints, transfers are for clients and instructors only.

Payment: We accept visa, euros, or local currency. Payment for all lessons and courses must be made before the lessons. If you pay for a course and for some reason do not finish, then we will always give you back the balance of the money
